The Avengers
      "Mrs Peel, we're needed ..."  No, wait a second that was the TV Avengers
and this is the comics version.  A slip of the brain caused by the fact that
while I can spout off about the TV show for hours I'm way out of the loop
concerning the contemporary comic.  Fortunately a friend still follows the
series and donated these pictures to the page via the c3c mailing list.



     It looks like the current female membership consists of one long time
member the Scarlet Witch, returned eighties members She-Hulk and Warbird
(though she was Ms Marvel the first time around and let's not get into Binary)
and newcomer Silverclaw (who I've never heard of before).
     Anyway it seems the reality warping Sorcerer Kulan Gath is up to his old
tricks again.  Namely turning cities back to the good old days of Conan and
Red Sonja making him a hard core Sword and Sorcery fan.
     Returning to the scans I have to admit I don't know a thing about
Triathlon but Warbird still looks good despite losing her cosmic powers and
gaining a drinking problem (at least that's what I've heard).



     Now let's take a look at Silverclaw.  She seems to be busy trying the old
"Shout at the brainwashed person until they recall their real identity and
snap out of it" routine.  Don't laugh, it works nine times out of ten. 





     Of course it works better without goons nearby to interfere.







     I'd have to agree with She-Hulk's assessment.  So let's quietly admire
the strength of Jen's neck muscles and head back to the main page.
